WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, America First Legal (AFL) sent a letter to Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard requesting that she initiate a declassification review and publicly release the classified implementation memorandum accompanying the Biden Administration’s National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism.
In June 2021, the Biden Administration released an unprecedented 20-page “strategy” for a “whole-of-society approach” to “countering domestic terrorism.” AFL immediately launched an investigation into the Biden Administration’s censorship plan. Over the past three years, AFL has uncovered how “domestic terrorism” was used to justify the administration’s censorship agenda targeting its political and social opponents.
As part of its Deep State Diaries, AFL revealed that the Biden Administration had drafted a classified implementation plan described by an administration official as “crisp and clear,” with “defined responsibilities” for various parts of the intelligence community.
Today’s request is another step in AFL’s ongoing efforts to protect the American people from the Deep State and reveal how the Biden Administration weaponized the intelligence services and law enforcement against political and social conservatives, military veterans, people of faith, and President Trump.
AFL has previously uncovered how the Biden Administration:
- Coordinated with tech companies to censor so-called “misinformation” and published documents, which were subsequently included in the amended pleadings in Missouri v. Biden and served as the basis for significant factual discovery in that case and subsequent congressional investigations.
- Labeled “pro-life mothers” as potential “radicalization suspects.”
- Blamed “Trump supporters” for “most of the domestic terrorism threat.”
- Planned efforts to condition Americans to “get into local communities” in “non-threatening” ways and report their neighbors to the federal government.
- Coordinated the Mar-a-Lago raid, telling Americans it was simply routine law enforcement and using people speaking out against the raid as a basis to justify spying on them.
- Ran classified censorship strategy calls out of the White House Situation Room.
- Coordinated with the United Kingdom’s government to censor Americans.
AFL urges DNI Gabbard to declassify and release the Biden Administration’s classified surveillance and censorship strategy plan to restore public trust and confidence in the federal government. The full extent of the Biden Administration’s abuse of federal national security authorities must be exposed.
AFL will keep fighting to protect American citizens from the Deep State and to combat the left’s weaponization of our intelligence services and law enforcement against political and social conservatives, military veterans, people of faith, and President Trump.
