Clerks will be given the opportunity to work on cases at the center of today's most pressing public policy debates. They will also play a key role in AFL's oversight efforts, gaining valuable experience using various oversight tools to influence and shape national discussions.
Invaluable Networking
Clerks will be able to connect with prominent attorneys and policymakers within the conservative movement who are dedicated to defending constitutional principles and America-first values.
Direct Mentorship
Work directly with AFL attorneys on their casework and learn what it looks like to fight on the front lines for America First Principles. This hands-on experience offers a rare, inside look into how strategic litigation can protect individual liberty and uphold the rule of law. You won't just observe, you'll contribute meaningfully to cases that shape the future of the country.
Program Details
Spring, Summer, and Fall cohorts are accepted on a rotating basis. Hours and arrangements are made on an individual basis. For clerks located in Washington, DC, in-person opportunities are available, but AFL is also willing to accommodate candidates anywhere in the country with a remote clerkship. AFL expects a 25-40 hour per week commitment for all clerks and places an emphasis on high-quality work products from driven individuals.
