“Texas is leading a group of 16 conservative states challenging a new Biden administration policy allowing for hundreds of thousands of noncitizens to apply for citizenship without first leaving the country. The Parole in Place Policy that went into effect Monday is unlawful because it will provide citizenship to a drove of people living in the country illegally, exceeding the federal government’s authority to determine parole applications on a case-by-case basis, the states said in a federal lawsuit Friday.”
