“America First Legal sued Judge Juan Merchan as well as the Ethics Commission for the New York State Unified Court System on Thursday for not releasing Merchan’s financial disclosure forms from 2018 through 2024. The group said in a news release that the public disclosure of the financial records upon request is currently required in New York law. AFL initially requested the financial disclosures on June 6, 2024 but it did not receive a response.”
