WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Legal (AFL) announced it is now accepting applications for its Summer 2025 Law Clerk Program for highly motivated, highly skilled, and mission-aligned second and third-year law students.
AFL law clerks conduct complex legal research; draft, proof, and cite-check AFL products, ranging from letters, memos, complaints, motions, briefs (administrative, trial, and appellate); and more in cutting-edge areas of the law. With exposure to matters across AFL’s litigation portfolio, our clerks learn how to defend the Constitution, advance America First principles, and fight against the left’s weaponization of the legal system. Our clerks also assist with AFL’s unique and class-leading oversight mission, gaining valuable experience with the tools and best practices for driving federal and state policy.
AFL clerks also have the unique opportunity to connect with and learn from prominent attorneys and policymakers within the conservative movement dedicated to advancing America First policies and values.
Hours and arrangements are flexible and can be made on an individualized basis. In-person opportunities are available for law clerks in Washington, D.C., but AFL can accommodate remote candidates. The clerkship requires a 25-40-hour weekly commitment, emphasizing high-quality, meaningful work that drives the conservative movement forward.
