Problem:
John Solomon, CEO and Editor in Chief of Just the News, submitted FOIA requests earlier this year to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) seeking “all records of updates and corrections relating to COVID-19 vaccinations -- such as “formal diagnoses, recovery, or death -- that are collected after the initial reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), but that are not published in the public VAERS database.” The public-facing database contains only initial reports, while the private, back-end system includes all updates and corrections -- such as a formal diagnosis, recovery, or death. The Department of Health and Human Services did not respond to his requests during their allotted period.
Action:
America First Legal (AFL) sued the Department of Health and Human Services on behalf of our client, John Solomon, for the agency's failure to comply with his FOIA requests.
