“On Friday, a second court hearing was held for America First Legal’s lawsuit against Fairfax County Public Schools’ gender-inclusive bathroom and pronoun policies. FCPS’ policy allows students to use bathrooms based on their gender identity and expects students to use the preferred gender pronouns of classmates. The lawsuit, which was filed on behalf of an FCPS student, argues the FCPS policy violates her sincerely held philosophical and religious beliefs and discriminates against her on the basis of sex in violation of her rights guaranteed to her by the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
