WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Legal (AFL), in partnership with the States of Texas and Idaho, and a coalition of 14 Attorneys General, secured a massive victory in a lawsuit against the Biden-Harris Administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for unlawfully creating a program that effectively provides a new pathway to citizenship for more than a million illegal aliens when the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas froze the program in lieu of litigation.
Effectively, the “Parole in Place” (PIP) program, which would further fuel the greatest immigration crisis in history, is now frozen thanks to AFL’s lawsuit and the dedicated work of Attorneys General Paxton, Labrador, and the States of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, North Dakota, Ohio, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Wyoming.
The Court’s order also sets an expedited schedule for the completion of the case. This is a massive victory for the people of Texas, Idaho, and all Americans, and America First Legal will continue to fight this brazenly unlawful program in court to ensure it is entirely shut down.
