WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Legal (AFL) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to uncover records related to the production of their document, “LGBTQ Inclusivity in Schools: A Self-Assessment Tool.”
The document, 32 pages in length, has a purpose of assisting “schools and districts in addressing the health and academic needs of LGBTQ students.” However, the document openly embraces radical transgender ideology and provides a “self-assessment tool” for teachers and administrators to use to determine their inclusivity score.
The document cites liberal activist organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center and Human Rights Campaign and encourages teachers to put up “visual labels” such as rainbow flags, pink triangles, and have unisex bathrooms so that children will know that the classroom is “a safe space for LGBTQ students.”
It also encourages teachers to include material that is “LGBTQ inclusive” within their curriculum and supporting materials.
It is apparent that the CDC has strayed far from its stated mission of protecting Americans from “health, safety, and security threats,” and is instead focused on indoctrinating children and educators. America First Legal is determined to uncover whether the CDC consulted with any of the outside groups that it referenced in the document so the American people can know exactly who is pulling the strings behind closed doors.
