WASHINGTON, D.C. – Last week, America First Legal (AFL) launched a new, multi prong Freedom of Information Act investigation into the origin and evolution of the COVID-19 virus, seeking records from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. 

AFL’s investigation follows the recent publication of two very troubling studies. In one, Hungarian researchers reviewed the literature and concluded that the COVID-19 virus can be a “potent bioweapon candidate.” In the other, Japanese researchers concluded that the formation of a part of the Omicron variant “was not the product of genome evolution, as is commonly observed in nature”; the “Omicron variants were already present in 2020”; and the “Omicron variants were formed by an entirely new mechanism that cannot be explained by previous biology” requiring a “reconsideration of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.” 

From the start, U.S. bureaucrats and intelligence officials lied to the American people about COVID-19. AFL’s investigation, seeking in its first phase records from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, will shed light on the government’s role in, and reasons for, creating the COVID-19 virus and its treatments.
