Problem:
Following the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July, America First Legal launched several investigations seeking records and communications from the U.S. Secret Service and the Department of Homeland Security to identify any shortcomings or failures in these federal agencies’ responsibilities to ensure President Trump’s safety. The U.S. Secret Service and Department of Homeland Security refused to comply with AFL’s informational requests.
Action:
America First Legal filed suit against the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for failing to produce responsive records.

This case is currently being litigated.
