An amicus brief is a legal filing submitted by someone who is not directly involved in a case but has a strong interest in its outcome. These briefs help the court consider arguments or perspectives that might otherwise be missed.
America First Legal files amicus briefs to support our mission and the America First movement. We use them to:
- Introduce new or overlooked legal arguments that the court might not otherwise consider
- Influence the court’s understanding or decision on critical issues
- Share our expertise on complex or impactful issues
- Help shape legal precedent, strengthen protections of constitutional rights, and effectuate lasting change
Though we are not the lead attorneys in these cases, our amicus briefs ensure that the court hears from voices who care deeply about defending the rights of everyday Americans and upholding our founding principles.

Government accountability means ensuring that public officials, at every level, answer to the people they serve. Too many Americans feel ignored, powerless, and frustrated by a government that’s bloated, unresponsive, and insulated from the very citizens it exists to represent.
America First Legal has stepped up, confronting that reality head-on. We dig relentlessly, uncover what others miss, and demand transparency across federal, state, and local governments. We file complaints, push for investigations, and submit hard-hitting letters, petitions, and rulemaking requests. We use every legal tool available to expose misconduct and force change.
We uncovered widespread federal abuse and corruption on the part of the prior administration. Now, we’re applying the same pressure to state and local officials while continuing to hold the federal bureaucracy accountable and directing its attention to where action is needed most.
Whether we’re holding bad actors accountable or setting the agenda for how the government should operate, we’re working to restore trust, integrity, and accountability, one action at a time.

Too many major corporations have embraced radical Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) agendas that violate the law, discriminating on the basis of race or sex in hiring and promotions.
To combat this, our team files formal administrative complaints with federal agencies, demanding they investigate these unlawful practices. While these complaints aren’t lawsuits, they’re still immensely powerful. They trigger government investigations, force corporations to answer for their conduct, and in many cases have, in part, led companies to abandon their discriminatory policies.
These complaints are strategic, targeted efforts to stop illegal discrimination, hold woke corporations accountable, and restore equal treatment in the workplace.
