WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, America First Legal (AFL) announced it is now accepting applications for the Fall 2024 Law Clerk Program. AFL is seeking motivated and mission-aligned second and third-year law students to participate.
AFL law clerks will have the opportunity to work on various issues in cutting-edge areas of the law. Clerks will learn how to fight back against the left’s weaponization of the legal system by working on matters across AFL’s litigation portfolio. Law clerks are trained to assist with AFL’s oversight mission to equip them with the legal tools available to achieve effective oversight of the government. Clerks are involved in AFL’s procedures, including researching, drafting, proofing, and cite-checking AFL products, ranging from letters, memos, complaints, motions, briefs (administrative, trial, and appellate), and more.
Take part in a clerkship that facilitates building relationships with prominent lawyers and policymakers across the conservative movement.
Hours and arrangements are flexible and can be made on an individualized basis. In-person opportunities are available for law clerks in Washington, D.C., but AFL can accommodate remote candidates. The clerkship requires a 10-20-hour weekly commitment, emphasizing high-quality, meaningful work that drives the conservative movement forward.
To apply, please submit a resume, a list of two or three references, a brief cover letter (500 word maximum), a writing sample (ten page maximum), and an unofficial transcript to [email protected] with the subject line “Law Clerk Application.” Applications are due July 31.
